The Advanced Robotics and Controls Lab invites applications for fully funded post-doctoral researcher or research scientist position. The candidate will specifically be leading the learning-based control and planning effort for our lab. As such, a significant focus of the position will be on prior familiarity and competency in control, motion planning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, and would be benefited from knowledge of computer vision specifically 3D vision, semantic segmentation, tracking, and reconstruction. The candidate will be involved in multiple projects and lead small teams of BS/MS/PhD students. Candidates are expected to have strong evidence of this in past research in the area of robotics.
The start date is immediate, and positions are for 12 months with renewal. The candidate are expected to lead independent research projects, work closely with our medical collaborators, mentor students, and publish in several high-impact journals each year. A PhD is required.
Applicants should have evidence of a strong CS background, exceptional communication skills, outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated independence as a researcher. A publication record in high-impact factor conferences and journals in computer vision or robotics is required.
